EMS Levy Pro and Con Committee Members Needed

Benton County Fire District 6 is seeking community members to serve on Pro and Con Committees for a proposed EMS levy that will appear on the August ballot.

These committees play an important role in providing voters with balanced perspectives by submitting written arguments for and against the measure in the official voters’ pamphlet.

We are looking for residents who are interested in participating in the democratic process and helping inform the community.

What’s involved:

  • Collaborating with other committee members
  • Preparing a written statement for the voters’ pamphlet
  • Meeting deadlines set by the county election office

Important Deadlines:

  • To submit your name for a committee, contact Chief Rolland Watt on or before April 22, 2026
  • All committee statements must be submitted to the County Elections Office by May 01, 2026

BUDGET HEARING NOTICE

Meeting Date and Time: November 09, 2020 – 7:00 pm

The Benton County Fire District 6 Board of Commissioners, in accordance with RCW 84.55.120, will conduct the annual revenue source hearing for its expense Budget on November 09, 2020. The hearing will begin at 7:00pm, via Zoom meeting. The purpose of this hearing will be to receive public input and to consider whether property tax revenues will need to be increased prior to the adoption of the 2021 BCFD6 annual budget and the levying of the District’s 2021 tax levy. BCFD6 Commissioner Meetings Postponed

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Board of Commissioners for Benton County Fire District 6, have opted to postpone the regularly scheduled Commissioner meetings until the “Stay Home Stay Safe” orders have been lifted.
